Microphone and XLR to USB Compatibility?

I am interested in buying an MXL63M Condenser microphone. However, I don't have any of the equipment in order to plug into the computer, and my only option is a XLR to USB adapter. My question is, at the bottom of this page: http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/MXL-V63M-Studio-Condenser-Microphone-with-Shockmount?sku=273158, it says "Phantom Power Required." Is this a compatibility issue with the XLR to USB Microphone adapter?
