What's the best set up for recording on a laptop with a condenser mic?

i recently came up on an SE X1 (yes, "sex one") condenser mic. I'm thinking of getting a USB converter or adapter. I've been told to try out the "Blue Microphones Icicle XLR to USB Mic Converter/Mic Preamp", but I read some reviews that complained about it's noisyness. any suggestions?
