How does he do this magic trick?

i was watching the supernaturalist and during the show while on a moving bus, he asks a guy to pick a card at random which he then signs with a sharpie. he takes the card back in the deck and then throws the deck at the window and the signed card is on the other side of the window of the still moving bus. the most interesting part of this trick however is that he retrieves the signed card from the other side of the window without leaving the bus (through the glass allegedly). how is this performed?
