How do I retrieve lost pictures from my Blackberry?

I need help.. I uploaded pictures from my laptop to my phone. When I did this, the pictures I had originally taken with my Blackberry Bold 9780 doubled. I erased one picture from each picture. This meant I have the pictures I uploaded from my laptop on my phone and one copy of the pictures I originally took with my blackberry. When I click on these pictures a message says "The file selected is read only and no longer available." Is there any way I can get these pictures back? I do not have them in my laptop.
